opposite day

This morning I woke up to a text message saying that “due to inclement weather, the University of Oklahoma will be closed today”. I immediately looked out the window hoping to find the same 10 inches of snow covers that ground in wonderful Columbia, Missouri today, but I could still see the sidewalks and the grass 😦 It turns out we did end up getting about 0.2 inches of ice (as I quickly discovered when it was time to scrape my car), but nothing that seemed worthy of shutting down an entire university.

Below are some pictures from the University of Missouri, which received 10 inches of snow last night.

Since Mizzou is in session despite all this snow and OU has canceled classes for nothing more than what you see below, I have concluded that it must be opposite day – and I can’t complain 🙂

**Many thanks to Anna Rennekamp and Rick Hluchan for these pictures.
